Wow great post thanks so much for sharing!!!

I have a Skulpin as well.... It is much more user-friendly for small stream fishing here in the North Georgia Mountains.

Well I guess I should answer this....just been busy trying to set this place up with Rob and a couple of guys...

I'm from North GA...fly fished about all my life.  I would go with my dad when I was too young, but he would take a 3 to 4 foot stick and tie a 6 inch stick to it with about 5 feet of line....and I would 'float my boat' in the ripples behind him and the small Mt Creeks I would later grow up to fish.

Hello, I am Tom from SunCity, Az. My fishing experience is limited compared to others. I got into fly fishing back in 2007 when I took a class on making bamboo flyrods at the local JC. I have made 15 or so rods of different weights and lengths. Just finishing up a small stream rod, 6'3", 3wt. for fishing our small streams like Oak Creek.
Hope to hear and share fly fishing experiences here.

I have fished the Blackfoot in Arizona for one day I think I caught 23 and three hammers.  We had a couple of hammers for dinner it that fed the camp.... was unbelievable.  I caught the trout on flies that I tied back here in Georgia from wool from New Zealand.... if you ever get a chance to fish the Blackfoot it's wonderful.

I was lucky to be able to go to NZ twice....trip paid for by my yarn supplier....and you bet I fished both times.

I have pics...hope I can find soon and they were pre digital.  Fishing there was unreal...as was the scenery.

I tied a fly here in the states from NZ wool and took it back to NZ and caught a 12 pound Brown....Too Cool!!!
